ISLAMABAD, April 27: Speaker Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (AJK LA) Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq and son of AJK President, Ali Zulqarnian, formally joined the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

Addressing a press conference at Zardari House here on Wednesday, they said they were joining the PPP unconditionally and would dedicate them for the betterment and strengthening of the party.

President PPP Women Wing Faryal Talpour, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan, federal ministers Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Manzoor Watoo, PPP General Secretary Jahangir Badar and Barrister Sultan Mehmood were also present on the occasion.

While addressing the news men, Jahangir Badar said that the PPP was fully prepared for the upcoming elections in AJK and would come out triumphant in the polls.

Replying to a question, he said the PPP was united under the leadership of Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari and Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and nobody would succeed in creating rift in the ranks of the party.

Faryal Talpour while congratulating Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq and Ali Zulqarnian on joining the PPP said their presence would strengthen the party. She said the PPP was pursuing a policy of reconciliation and door of the party was open for all the people.

She said PPP did not believe in politics of confrontation and personal enmity as the type of politics could prove no good to the people and the country. — APP
