LAHORE, April 14: Hosts Pakistan thrashed Nepal 21-0 to record their second consecutive win in the first SAARC Baseball Cup at the Punjab Stadium here on Thursday.

In the first innings, Pakistan made five runs through Asif (2), Iftikhar (1), Imtiaz (1) and Arshad who hit home run.

Pakistan could not score any run in the second innings but added four in the third through Umair Bhatti, Musaddaq, Asif and Imtiaz. Then in the fifth innings Pakistan batters mauled the visitors plundering 12 runs to complete the win. Nepal could not score any run due to fine show by Pakistan pitchers.

Earlier, Pakistan in their opening game had outclassed Afghanistan 21-1.

On Friday, Sri Lanka will take on Afghanistan.
