KARACHI, Nov 13: The Pakistan Awami Party has condemned the American bombing of Afghanistan and has demanded that it be stopped immediately.
At a press conference at Karachi Press Club on Tuesday, party leaders urged the government to withdraw all the facilities being provided to the United States and its allies for their military action against Afghanistan.
They said the US was claiming that it was fighting against terrorism, but its real aim was to establish military bases in the region to have a control of the oil and gas deposits of Central Asia.
They said the PAP sympathized with the families of those killed in the Sept 11 attacks in the US, and it also condemned the US-led allied forces attacks on Afghanistan which were resulting in the killing of civilians.
Besides the party chief, Fanoos Gujjar, Zubair Rahman and others also spoke.
