QUETTA, Oct 12: The Chief Election Commissioner, Justice Irshad Hasan Khan on Saturday cancelled the results of NA-262 (Chaman- Killa Abdullah) and two provincial assembly seats from Balochistan and ordered repolling in these constituencies.

Repolling would also be held in three polling stations of NA-263 (Loralai and PB-15-Loralai-II).

The provincial assembly constituencies, where complete repolling has been ordered, are PB-12 (Killa Abdullah-II and PB-13 (Killa Abdullah-III).

Election Commission sources said repolling would be held in only three polling stations of NA-263 (Loralai and PB-15-Loralai-II), as polling had been suspended in these polling stations after interference of opposing candidates and violence.

The CEC took serious notice of violence during the polling when a woman polling agent of a party was killed in the firing.

The date for the repolling in all the three constituencies would be announced in a couple of days.

Seven candidates are in the run in NA-262 (Chaman-Killa Abdullah) constituency.

All the candidates had claimed their lead in the constituency.

The PMAP leader Dr Hamid Khan Achakzai alleged that under a conspiracy local administration wanted to keep Mehmood Khan away from the parliament and it was helping the rival candidate in the connection. He said the woman polling agent of PMAP was killed and her body was thrown outside the polling station.

The PPP’s candidate Bismillah Khan Kakar and two other candidates contesting election on two provincial seats Wali Mohammad Ghabizai and Malik Sarwar Khan Piralizai also held the local administration responsible for rigging in various polling stations.
