Tasneem Gardezi accepts defeat

BAHAWALPUR, Oct 12: Syed Tasneem Nawaz Gardezi of the PML-Q, who was defeated from NA-186 (Bahawalpur IV), accepted results after recount of ballots on Saturday.

Mr Gardezi had secured 56,728 votes against the 60,455 votes secured by Mian Riaz Husain Peerzada of the National Alliance in the regular counting on the night of Oct 10.

Mr Gardezi had submitted an application with returning officer seeking recounting of the ballot papers of 10 polling booths.
