Taj Langah’s security confiscated

MULTAN, Oct 12: Pakistan Seraiki Party chief Taj Muhammad Langah’s security was confiscated from all four national constituencies where he contested election.

Barrister Langah was a candidate from NA-149 (Multan-II), -154 and -155 (Lodhran-I & II) and -183 (Bahawalpur-I). In -149, he polled 107 votes, in -154 his score was 118, in -155 his tally was 2,322 and in -183 got 988 votes.

The PSP had joined National Alliance led by Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi. He contested election in two constituencies from the platform of National Alliance and two from his PSP.

A PSP spokesman said Mr Langah had retired in NA-183 before election.

Head of the another regional party Seraiki Suba Movement, Advocate Malik Mumtaz Husain polled 348 votes in NA-149. He was, however, happy that he bagged more votes than Mr Langah.

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) had also fielded its candidates in three constituencies of Multan. In NA-149, its candidate Rana Arif got 434 votes, in -150 Raziuddin bagged 113 votes and in -151 Zeshan Randhawa polled 247 votes. — Correspondent
