Farmer killed

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Nov 12: A farmer was shot dead by his rival in Jhok Venus here on Sunday.

Ghulam Jilani, with his brothers, Ghulam Subhani and Abdul Ghani, was sowing a field with wheat when their rivals, Jalal-ud-Din and his father, Miskeen, opened fire on them, killing Ghulam on the spot.

Abdul Ghani and Ghulam Subhani saved their lives by fleeing the scene.

The Kiri Khaisor police have registered a case against the assailants, who are still at large.
