Attacks on Afghanistan condemned

QUETTA, Nov 12: Pakistan Peoples party (SB) Chairperson Ghinva Bhutto on Monday condemned the air attacks on Afghanistan and demanded immediate end to the war.

Speaking at a press conference, she said the Afghan crisis should be resolved through negotiations.

“No issue could be resolved through war,” she said and added that only innocent Afghans were being killed in the United States’ bombing.

She said her party had strongly opposed extending support to the US with some religious parties in the meeting with President Musharraf. “All political parties, except PPP (SB) and some religious parties, favoured to support the US for attacking Afghanistan,” she claimed.

Replying to a question, she said it was the need of the hour that an elected government should be established.
