Man shot dead over old enmity

OKARA, Nov 12: Three people allegedly shot dead a young man in Pakka Jhughh village early on Monday morning.

Muhammad Azhar had rivalry with Muhammad Akram. He was going to his farm house passing through the fields when accused Akram and his two unidentified accomplices intercepted him. They showered bullets on him and escaped from the scene. Azhar died on the spot.

OBITUARY: The mother of AG office accountant Zakir Husain and Okara welfare trust chairman Muhammad Hasan died of cancer here on Monday. She was 80. She was laid to rest in the local Ghorey Shah graveyard.
