PASF secretary resigns

Published October 6, 2002

LAHORE, Oct 5: Mohammad Latif Butt at last decided to quit as secretary Pakistan Amateur Swimming Federation (PASF) after 28 years but like everyone else in this country believes in family dynasty.

Latif voluntarily resigned as PASF secretary last month, a position he held since 1974. However, keeping the tradition of this country he somehow managed to get his son Kamran Butt nominated as PASF secretary.

During his 28-year reign as PASF secretary Pakistan’s achievement in swimming has been a total disaster but he never missed an opportunity to make overseas trips.

Incidentally Latif is also the secretary of the  Pakistan  Olympic Association (POA).
