Students continue protest

KHAIRPUR, Oct 4: The academic activities at the educational institutions in Kingri taluka, including the degree college and high school of Pir Jo Goth, remained suspended, here on Friday, on the third consecutive day, in protest against the murder of Khursheed Mangrio, a high school teacher.

Scores of the students and teachers took out a procession and wore black arm-bands.

Meanwhile, a meeting of various teachers associations, including GASTA, PTA, SAPLA, and the citizens action committee, was held here the other day, demanding of IGP Sindh for early arrest of the killers of the teacher.

GUTTED: Four houses, belonging to Allah Warayo Solangi, Abdul Rasheed Solangi, Ali Murad Solangi and Mehboob Solangi, were gutted here late Thursday night in Sono Solangi village near Pir Jo Goth.
