KARACHI, Sept 30: Reckless driving claimed two lives in the city on Monday.

A woman died in a road accident in front of the JPMC.

Police said that Gul Nisa, aged 45, wife of Pir Mohammed, was getting down from a bus when she fell down and her head hit against the road.

She was rushed to the casualty ward at the JPMC where she died. The woman was on way to the JPMC for treatment when the accident took place.

A man died in a road accident in Korangi Industrial Area. Police said that Shaukat Ali, aged 36, was run over by a speeding truck at Chamra Chowrangi while walking across the main road in Korangi Industrial Area. He was rushed to the JPMC where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

The truck driver drove off after the accident.
