?The only challenge was finding a panda costume. All the shops Bilal and Shayan went to just had children's costumes, nothing for adults. They finally went to Funnyman where they had just one adult-sized costume and it happened to be a panda. Just our luck!? said Akhtar.

?We had an incredible time during the shoot. We constantly had to do re-takes since we were all laughing so much. Kudos to the guy who wore the panda costume and to Bilal and Shayan; they?re so talented. We would work with them in a heartbeat,? says Akhtar.

?We came up with the concept in just a few hours,? stated Agha. ?We met the band in the morning and that very night, we emailed them our concept, and they loved it. We began working on the video the next day.?

?The video is an ode to friendship, doesn?t matter if you?re different ? your friends will accept you. The panda, in this instance, is the friend that everyone loves to pick on and gang up against,? said Agha.

?To be honest, we weren?t sure how people would react to the video but people loved it and we?re overwhelmed with the response. Even Ali Noor and Ali Zafar shared it on Facebook; Ali Noor called it the best video of 2010,? said Agha.

?All of us in the band just love pandas and I think they?re just really funny animals!? said Akhtar. ?Rahail (bass player) literally just sent an email to Shayan Agha and Bilal Khan of Forward Media saying, ?I don?t care what the video is about ? I just want a panda in it!??

Aunty Disco Project’s (ADP) video for “Hum Naa Rahey” is going viral online, with over 5,000 views in just two days since it was first posted on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwUpItcDuhc). Directed by Shayan Agha and Bilal Khan of Forward Media, the video is being discussed on Twitter, shared on Facebook and being played repeatedly on TV and radio. In an interview with Dawn.com, Shayan Agha of Forward Media and Omar Bilal Akhtar of ADP talk about the inspiration and the process behind the video ...  and the perils behind finding a panda costume. – Photo Courtesy of Forward Media, text by Amna Khalique/Dawn.com
