RAWALPINDI, Sept 23: The Tehsil Nazim Raja Hamid Nawaz has stressed on the trader community to cooperate with the Tehsil administration in removing encroachments from the city limits.

Talking to a delegation of traders, he said removal of encroachments would also benefit the businessmen, besides being in the interest of the people at large.

The Tehsil Nazim pointed out that a few hand-push carts owners cannot be given a free hand to keep their carts anywhere they like and disturb the residents around.

He also asked the push-cart owners to station their carts at specified places instead of parking them on the road-sides or encroach on car-parking areas.

He said shopkeepers themselves allow encroachers to spread a mini-shop in front of their shops for which they receive regular rents from the encroachers and them the Tehsil Municipal administrations held responsible for allowing encroachments.

The Tehsil Nazim said any TMA employee found involved in taking bribes from the encroachers would be taken to task but emphasized on the shopkeepers not to allow encroachers to set up shop in front or on the sides of their stores.
