KARACHI: ASH services improving

KARACHI, Sept 23: Owing to the special attention and measures taken by City Nazim Naimatullah Khan, a rapid improvement has been recorded in the performance of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital during the last eight months.

Many closed departments of the hospital have been reopened and facilities restored besides recording an increase in its resources, says a press release.

As many as 1,26,706 patients were treated during the last eight months with more than thirty-nine thousand patients in Aug.

About 4,425 patients were admitted to the hospital and 552 of them underwent major surgeries, besides 191 delivery cases.

A spokesman for the city government said that facilities would further be increased and the hospital’s old standard would soon be restored.— PPI
