KARACHI, Sept 21: Prof M.A. Raoof of the department of physics has been assigned the duties of the registrar of Karachi University with immediate effect, a KU spokesman said on Saturday.

CONVOCATION: The 2001-02 convocation of the University of Karachi will be held on Nov 4.

A KU announcement said Sindh Governor Mohamedmian Soomro, who is also the chancellor of the universities in the province, will preside over the convocation and will confer degrees and gold medals on the graduates.

WORKSHOP: Karachi University has arranged a four-day workshop for its students to enhance their communication and other skills in collaboration with the Training Networks International, Lahore, on Monday.

All the final-year students, having 2.80 GPA, have to attend the workshop.

Merited students will be selected to be trained as master trainer, a press release said.— PPI
