Governor opens gas supply project

GUJRAT, Sept 19: Governor Khalid Maqbool inaugurated a Sui gas provision project in Kunjah here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said about 15 per cent residents of Kunjah and Mangowal would be provided with gas connections by the end of this year.

He said the Zamindara College could get the university status with the financial assistance of local philanthropists.

The governor who was accompanied by the provincial law minister and the labour secretary earlier inaugurated the Labour Welfare Complex on Bhimber Road.

He was welcomed in Kunjah by former interior minister Shujaat Husain and former speaker Pervaiz Elahi.

Kunjah falls in the constituencies of NA-105 and PP-110 from where Shujaat Husain and Pervaiz Elahi are contestants.
