KARACHI, Sept 18: Three ships carrying containers, gas oil and to load molasses are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Chitral, Sinar Bontang, APL Pusan to unload and load containers and Belgaurdian to load naptha were berthed after the sailing of two.

The two ships, which departed included Trade Eternity and Golden Gate, while APL Pusan, Dubai, Belgaurdian, Sima Kija and Chitral are due to sail out on Thursday.

Berth occupancy at the oil piers rose to 67 per cent thanks to steady arrivals of oil tankers, while it remained modest at 40 per cent on the dry wharves.

A total tonnage of 58,820 tons comprising 9,439 tons of export cargo and 49,381 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Liano, to load 17,000 tons of molasses, Torm Sija, with gas oil and Bunga Massatu, with containers.
