KARACHI, Sept 17: Contship Champion to load and offload containers was accommodated berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal (QICT) during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, two more ships also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Five ships were at the berths loading/discharging wheat, containers, general cargo, furnace oil and iron ore.

Cargo handling activity remained brisk where a cargo volume of 61,052 tons comprising 46,748 tons of import tonnage and 14,304 tons of export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 960 containers (Teus), was handled.

Three ships, Warbah, Safmarine Athi and Progreso were due to take berths at QICT and Marginal Wharf. Faviola and Saudi Abaha were due to arrive while Abdoun Discovery sailed out.
