HYDERABAD, Sept 15: A delegation of Pakistan Peoples’ Party-SB comprising Maula Bux Mashori, a candidate for NA-221 and PS-47 Hyderabad, Piral Majeedano, a candidate for NA-218, and Ali Mohammad Dahri and Tufail Memon on Satur-day met with the Euro-pean Union Mission, which is here to observe the election process.

The PPP-SB delegation told the two-member EU mission that 30 to 40 per cent mistakes of names had been detected in the voters lists, many voters had not yet received their identity cards, while the others were facing problems in getting them.

The delegation also complained that influential people were interfering in the election process and in-service government functionaries were using their clout in favour of their relatives.

The EU mission comprising Manuel Sanchez De Nogues G of Spain and Alistair Robert Jordan of England were reported to have told the delegation that they were here just as observers.

The delegation also told the observers that election activities were not picking up because the people were not sure whether the elections would be held on schedule.
