KARACHI: 4 cars, 7 bikes hijacked

KARACHI, Sept 14: Eleven vehicles — four cars and seven motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Saturday, police sources said.

One car was hijacked. Three others were stolen.

Two motorcycles were hijacked. Five others were stolen.

DROWN: A man and a three-year-old boy drowned in different areas of the city on Saturday.

Mohammed, aged three, son of Raees, fell into a stormwater drain in Samanabad police limits. His cries drew the attention of those present near the drain who tried to rescue him. He was brought out of the drain in an unconscious state. He was rushed to a hospital where he died.

The boy lived at a shanty town in Samanabad.

Police found an unidentified man dead near the beach off Mai Kolachi bypass road. The body was sent to a hospital for post-mortem where doctors believed the cause of death to be drowning.

The body has been kept in the Edhi’s morgue for identification.
