KARACHI, Sept 14: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement candidates have criticised the Muttahida Majlis-i- Amal during their election campaign.
Addressing election meetings in Liaquatabad , deputy convener Shoaib Bokhari and NA candidate Asrarul Ibad lashed out at those elements who questioned the MQM’s patriotism and said that they stood for achieving more and equal rights for those who contributed more than 70 per cent towards the exchequer as compared to those who pay 30 per cent.
Attacking the MMA, they said that those who used to accuse each others of being kafir, they had joined hand owing to political expediency.
The MQM candidates said they would strive for the emancipation of the people and fight against price hike, especially of utilities.
National assembly candidate Safwanullah, addressing another meeting, emphasised that his party had eliminated sectarian and ethnic politics and today people of all segments of the society were contesting from its platform.
He declared that his par-ty would not allow Sindh to become a colony of the establishment.
Addressing the Lyari sector meeting, its NA-248 candidate Capt Sohrab Nizamani, PS 108 candidate Ahmad Baloch , Aslam Bhutto of PS-109 and the Sindh organising committee member Babar Ghori and Mohammad Sharif vowed to prove that Lyari was also the bastion of the MQM and its people had no trust in those who sought votes but did nothing for their welfare.
