PESHAWAR, Sept 12: Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah said on Thursday that the future requirements should be kept in view while making plans for government buildings for offices.
He was presiding over a meeting held at the Governor’s House to review the master plan for the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Kohat, building estimated to cost Rs60 million.
He said that besides ensuring a weather resistance system, the proposed building should provide sufficient space for visitors.
About the sports facilities, he said they should be made available at maximum number of educational institutions.
Referring to the construction of government residential buildings, Mr Iftikhar called for private sector’s involvement in the process.
The governor also said that the banks, post offices, hostels, cafeteria and other facilities proposed for institutions should be arranged in a way that there may be no hindrance in the smooth functioning of their working.—PPI
