KARACHI, Sept 12: Jamaat-i-Islami Amir Qazi Hussain Ahmed, who is vice-president of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, on Wednesday appealed to the people to vote for the MMA candidates in the election.

Speaking at an election meeting in district West, he urged the people of Karachi to stamp the MMA’s election symbol “book” on Oct 10. He said the city had started its journey towards progress and prosperity after the local government elections and the journey would continue after the general elections.

He said that for progress, establishment of industries and creation of employment opportunities, election of a sincere, honest and able leadership was essential. He said the MMA had presented an able leadership to the people and they would fulfil aspirations of the people. MMA’s candidate for NA, Laeeq Ahmed Khan, and Sindh Assembly candidate, Hamidullah advocate, also spoke. —APP
