Water shortage in Lasbela

HUB, Nov 9: Acute shortage of water persists in four union councils of Lasbela district.

In a joint statement on Friday, Karim Bakhsh Shaheen, Nazim of union council, Lakhra; and representatives of other union councils, including minorities, peasants and women councillors, said that remote areas of Lasbela district, including Lyari, Lakhra, Kanraj and Dureji, had been facing acute shortage of the water for a long time.

They said that had, in the past, drawn the attention of the authorities but no remedial steps had so far been taken by them.
