Saqib faces Adnan for trophy

LAHORE, Sept 5: Sheikh Saqib will play Adnan Khan in the under-15 final of the Lahore city junior squash championship tomorrow after winning their respective semifinals in contracting styles at PSA complex Thursday.

Saqib scored straight sets victory over Wasif Tufail and Adnan was taken to four sets by Shoaib Hassan.

Saqib bt Wasif 15-4,15-7,15-6 and Adnan repaired third set damage before defeating Shoaib 15-9,15-10,11-15,15-10.

In the under-13 championship Haroon Sammad and Noor Ali booked places in tomorow’s final.

Haroon survived troublesome moments before prevailing over Babar Gahfoor in a five set thriller for a 15-8,10-15,17-15,6-15, 15-11 victory. Noor had to labour but not much as he emerged winner in four sets over Asif Mahmood 15-7,15-10,12-15,15-10.—APP
