KARACHI, Nov 9: Three men were killed in the city in Friday.
A young man died when he was hit by a stray bullet in Landhi. Police said Nadeem Ahmed, aged 25, was flying a kite on the roof of his shop in Babar Market when a stray bullet hit him on the head. He was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police said Nadeem was a video film maker, and he owned a shop in Babar Market.
Body of a man, with his hands tied and stuffed into a plastic bag, was found in Sector 12-L of Orangi Town. Police said unidentified persons killed Abdullah, aged 45, owner of a restaurant in sector 5 of Orangi Town. He was tortured to death and later his body was burnt. He also lent money on interest. The body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem.
Police said since Abdullah was on friendly terms with area policemen, he might have been killed on suspicion of being a police informer, or the motive for the killing might be a dispute over money.
Unknown assailants shot a man to death in Keamari.
Police said unknown men came to the residence of Sarzameen in Okhai Colony and they called him out of the house. As Sarzameen, aged 40, stepped out of the house the unidentified assailants shot him and escaped.
Sarzameen was rushed to Civil Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The motive for the killing could not be known immediately, police said.
