HYDERABAD, Sept 5: The Gulshan-e-Hali police have arrested an under-training ASI, Mohammad Shakir, who was alleged of having killed a former employee of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), Mohammad Anwar, in cold blood in collusion with Anwar’s wife, Shazia.
An FIR was lodged at the Tando Mohammad Khan police station on behalf of the state after Anwar’s body was found from a canal. His body bore visible marks of violence.
Mr Anwar, who was in his early 30s, had been missing from his house, situated in American Quarters, since a week. ASI Shakir was Anwar’s neighbour.
Anwar’s neighbours told his elder brothers that ASI Shakir had taken Anwar, his wife, and two children with him on the pretext of getting him a job.
His family finally came to know that he was being kept in a house in Tandojam. So they went there and found the house to be locked.
They found his wife whom they brought to Hyderabad.
Anwar’s family including his wife then went to Tando Mohammad Khan after being informed about his burial by Edhi volunteers. They identified his body through the clothes he was wearing.
