LAHORE, Nov 9: Iqbal Society of the Lahore College for Women organized a three-day celebration of Allama Iqbal’s 123rd birth anniversary.
The society organized debating, declamation and poetry competitions. It also organized special lectures by Dr Javed Iqbal, Inayatullah, Dr Muhammad Nasir and LCW teachers Mubeena Ali, Atiya Syed and Altaf Fatima. The speakers discussed Allama Iqbal as a political thinker, poet and philosopher.
The speakers also urged the students to direct their energies towards prosperity and progress of the country.
College students recited Iqbal’s poetry during these functions.
