DHA and KPT in last four

Karachi, Sept 4: Defence Housing Authority moved into the semifinal of the 11th Hinopak Trophy KCCA Inter-firms championship after defeating Sindh Police by 11 runs Tuesday.

Batting first, DHA made 216 for nine in 40 overs. Sajid Hanif 53 batted well. Spinner Hamid Ali captured six wickets for 51.

Sindh Police were restricted to 205 for nine in 40 overs. Akif Alvi topscored with 46. Off-spinner Muzaffar Hussain three for 49.

In the last quarterfinal, KPT beat SSGC by 24 runs to make the last four.

KPT managed 209 for eight in 40 overs. Ariz Kamal hit 54. Syed Asif Ali took three for 46 and Sohail Mehdi two for 54 with his left arm spin.

In reply SSGC were bowled out for 185 in 39.3 overs. Nadeem Naeem slammed 65. Leg spinner Kamran Umer grabbed four for 28.—APP
