PESHAWAR, Sep 4: A three-day workshop on “Defining Sustainable Development Indicators” was organised by LEAD Pakistan here on Tuesday.

Fellow of LEAD (Leadership for Environment and Development) Pakistan Mohammad Usman Qazi said the workshop was designed for mid-level professionals from development organisations.

He added that the capacity-building organisation had organised the workshop to highlight the importance of incorporating elements of sustainability and cost effectiveness in the design of development projects. He also said that it would also highlight the benefits of improved planning, fulfilment of legal obligations as well as creation of stronger civil society.

In all, 23 participants from different management cadres are taking part in the workshop aimed at equipping them with skills and tools to design, implement and monitor projects.—APP
