KARACHI, Sept 3: Principal of the Sindh Medical College (SMC) has declared eight more admissions of the academic session 1999- 2000 to be fake and withheld marks sheets of the students, a spokesman for the University of Karachi said on Tuesday.
The students whose admissions have been cancelled are: Abidullah, Niazur Rehman, Aisha Shamim, Ambreen Aslam, Nida Mumtaz, Nazish Muzaffar, Shazia Fazal Azeem and Naveera Anwar.
The students have been asked to appear before an inquiry committee with evidences for admissions as well as their documents.
Meanwhile, the students whose admissions for the academic session 2000-2001 were declared to be fake have also been asked to appear before chairman of the inquiry committee at the KU administration block on Sept 7, from 3.30pm to 8.30pm, along with evidence and original documents.
The inquiry committee is headed by Prof Junaid Saghir Siddiqui.—APP
