LAKKI MARWAT, Sept 2: The PML(N) and the MMA brought out a joint rally here on Monday to protest against attempts to involve Malik Imran Khan, a PML(N) candidate from PF-75 Lakki-II, in a murder case.

Thousands of tribesmen of Mar Khan Khel tribe held a protest meeting at Malik Zainul Abidin filling station on Dera Ismail Khan Road, 36km from here. Later, the meeting turned into a protest rally which was also joined by elites and dignitaries of some other tribes, including former senator Anwar Kamal Khan Marwat, senior vice president PML-N and former MNA Nasir Mohammad Khan Medad Khel, Majid Khan Mamma Khel, Shah Sawar Khan Mamma Khel and Maulana Qalu Khan of JUI-F.

Speaking on the occasion, the leaders alleged that the city government at the behest of Saifullahs was using unfair means to implicate Malik Imran Khan, who is contesting elections against provincial chief of PML(QA) Salim Saifullah Khan, in a false case.

The said a man was allegedly killed by his cousins in Masha Mansoor village over a land dispute.

The relatives of the deceased lodged a report against Saifur Rehman and Rafiullah, sons of Abdullah.

However, the next day some PML(QA) leaguers contacted the bereaved family and instigated them to implicate Malik Imran Khan and his younger brother Malik Noor Salim in the case as the slain man’s family had political affiliation with PML (QA).

The speakers, Anwar Kamal Khan, Nasir Mohammad Khan, Majid Khan Mamma Khel and others, lambasted the unfair means adopted by Saifullahs against their opponents in every election.
