BAHAWALPUR, Sept 2: A student of the Sadiq Public School, Bahawalpur, won the first position in an essay competition held under the aegis of the Royal Commonwealth Society, London.
According to a school press release, Arsalan Haleem was awarded a prize money of 100 pounds with this position. Chief examiner of the competition, Charles Camb wrote to the school principal, lauding the standard of the essay which he said was most informative.
The topic of the essay was ‘hobbies’, and the winning entry was about ‘gardening as a favourite pastime’.—APP
