PESHAWAR, Sept 2: One person was killed by highwaymen on the Pajaggi Road, while two others were killed in separate incidents here on Monday.

Fazl-i-Subhan registered an FIR with Mathra police station that he was travelling along with his friends Ikramullah and Bashir Khan on a motorbike (PRF 4134) when unidentified armed men intercepted them on Pajaggi Road and demanded them to hand over cash and valuables and motorcycle keys.

On their resistance armed men opened fire on them, killing Ikramullah on the spot.

In another incident, Amir Mohammad was killed when he fell from an over-speeding passenger van in Mathra locality. Mathra police have arrested the driver of the van and registered a case in this regard.

In the third incident, Mohammad Nazir, a resident of Dera Baghbanan, lodged an FIR with Bhana Mari police station, stating that he was at home along with his brother Shakir, when Alamgir alias Botalay came to their house. After heated arguments with Shakir over some issue, Alamgir opened fire on him and escaped. Shakir died on the spot.
