Arms seized, 5 held

KOHAT, Sept 1: The police on Sunday raided a hideout of proclaimed offenders in a village near Lachi Town and arrested five people, including two fugitives and their accomplices. The police also seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition.

Acting on a tip-off, Kohat SSP Abid Ali raided a house in Shahi Banda and arrested two proclaimed offenders and three others who provide them shelter.

According to sources, the arms seized from the POs included four Kalashnikovs, two repeaters, two 12 bore rifles, six 303 rifles, two 8MM guns, two pistols and 1,014 cartridges of different bores.—Correspondent
