30 forms accepted

NAWABSHAH, Sept 1: A total of 30 nomination papers were accepted and eight rejected by the returning officers for one national and three provincial assembly seats on Saturday.

The returning officer for NA-214 and PS-27, Sanaullah Khan Ghori, scrutinized the nomination papers.

For NA-214, the nomination papers of Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah (PPP) and Syed Mehmood Shah (PPP) were accepted. However, the nomination papers of Mushtaq Ahmed Rahu (PML-Q) were rejected.

For PS-27, the nomination papers of Shahnawaz Lakhmir (MQM), Dr Ali Khan Jamali (PPP), Dr Bahadur Dahri (SDA), Ashiq Dahri (SDA), and Rao Mohammad Basheer (MMA) were accepted.

The returning officer, Syed Gul Munir Shah, scrutinized the papers for PS-24 and PS-25.

For PS-24, the nomination papers of Tariq Masood Arain (PPP), Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah (PML-N), Abdul Rauf (MQM), Rao Abdul Sami (MQM), and 17 other candidates were accepted, while those of Nazim Khwaja (MQM), Rasheed Bhatti (independent), Rafaqat Ali (independent), Ms Fauzia Sadiq (independent), and Ghulam Mustafa Jatt (PML-N) were rejected.

For PS-25, the nomination papers of Ahmed Ali Jalbani (PPP), Ali Nawaz Brohi (SDA), Habib Shah (independent), and Abdul Raheem Rind (independent) were accepted, while those of Ghulam Akbar Jalbani (PPP) and Abdul Ghani Rind (independent) were rejected.
