BAHAWALPUR, Aug 31: The overall top three positions were secured by boys in the FA/FSC annual examination.
Decorating the top position holders on Saturday, the controller examination said some 19,280 candidates appeared in the examination. Of those, he said 9,503 were declared successful with a percentage of 49.29.
Muhammad Amir (Roll No 24055) of the Government Sadiq Egerton College, Bahawalpur, secured first position with 939 marks. Muhammad Tauseef Aslam (Roll No 23807) and Usman Anwar (Roll No 23809) of the FFC Grammar Higher Secondary School, Goth Machi, Sadiqabad, clinched second and third positions with 925 and 919 marks, respectively.
PRE-MEDICAL GROUP: Muhammad Khalid Razzaq (Roll No 21616) of the Government Sadiq Egerton College, Bahawalpur, notched first position with 918 marks, Muhammad Maruf of the same institute (Roll No 21623) and Sara Raza (Roll No 20416) of Madressatul Binnat shared second position with 916 marks each and Sana Ashraf (Roll No 20336) bagged third position with 915 marks.
PRE-ENGINEERING GROUP: The overall top position holders were from this group. They are Muhammad Amir, Muhammad Tauseef Aslam and Usman Anwar.
GENERAL SCIENCE: In the general science group, Shahzad Ali Anjum (Roll No 25463) of Pakistan College of Computer Sciences, Chishtian, notched first position by scoring 907, Samia Saeed (Roll No 25019) of the Government College for Women, Bahawalnagar, clinched second position with 895 marks and Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal (Roll No 25513) secured third position. Iqbal scored 883.
HUMANITIES: Girls of humanities group outshone boys by securing top three positions. Munazzah Majeed (Roll No 29559) of the Government College for Women, Bahawalpur, topped the list by obtaining 847 marks, Nazia Kausar (Roll No 27201) of the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Dahranwala, Chishtian, secured second position with 834 marks and Hafiz Saima Hafeez (Roll No 28184) of the Government College for Women, Rahim Yar Khan, clinched third position with 833 marks.
