FAISALABAD, Aug 27: Some Nazimeen of tehsil municipal administration’s union councils have approved the private security system to provide security to residents in their respective areas.
According to the proposed plan, owner of each house and a shop would pay Rs10 and Rs25, respectively, to the management of Nazimeen as expenses of the guards.
A security in-charge, who will have direct contact with the patrolling guards and SHO of the respective police station, will be deployed at the office of union council.
When contacted, some Nazimeen, including Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali, Shrafat Ali Khan Khattak and Tariq Bashir Ghauri, told this correspondent that this security plan was being introduced to control the increasing incidents of crime as the police had failed to maintain law and order.
They demanded the police high-ups that they should ensure effective patrolling of police in residential areas.
Meanwhile, local traders’ organizations have demanded the Punjab governor to direct the local police officials for improving the patrolling system.
KILLS WIFE: A man stabbed his wife on Monday night over monetary issue in Chak 204-RB in the limits of Saddar police station.
After exchanging hard words, Abdul Razzaq stabbed Khadija Bibi with a sharp weapon. She died on the spot. The couple had seven children.
Police have registered a case and are investigating.
Meanwhile, a boy, Rashid Masih, axed to death his friend Arsalan Ahmed after quarrelling with him over some issue in Chak 65-JB in the jurisdiction of Thikriwala police station.
