DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Aug 27: The government and people of Pakistan had welcomed the Afghan refugees after the invasion of their country by the Soviet Union forces and had been extending them all assistance on humanitarian grounds. Now, it was their duty to respond positively and not to create problems for the government and people of Pakistan.
This was stated by Commissioner Afghan Refugees Mushtaq Ali Jan Alizai during his visit to various Afghan refugee camps here. District Administrator Afghan Refugees Ibrahim Khattak was accompanying him.
He asked the refugees not to accommodate those illegal entrants in their camps who had no valid documents.
Mr Alizai announced the opening of two middle level and one high level schools at Dera, Tank and South Waziristan Agency respectively for the children of Afghan refugees. He also ordered the establishment of basic health centres at Zafarabad Colony, D.I.Khan and Tank.
