KARACHI, Aug 26: The Awami Himayat Tehrik has said that it will not participate in the October elections due to its reservations on the nomination form in which Quaid-i-Azam has been given preference to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in order of reference.

Speaking at a news conference, its chairman Moulvi Iqbal Haider said after dismissal of his petition by the SHC he had filed an appeal in the Supreme Court where Justice Nazim Hussain Siddiqui took up the matter in his chamber and ordered to send the petition to the principal seat on Monday.
