RAWALPINDI, Aug 25: District Nazim Raja Tariq Kiani on Sunday summoned the SHO of New Town police station and ordered him to improve security arrangements at Sunday Bazaar near Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The Nazim visited the bazaar and checked the quality of food items and prices. He expressed his concern over the poor security arrangements at the bazaar, high prices and low quality of different consumer items.

He also ordered the market committee to normalize the prices of the items and ensure that only those goods were sold at the bazaar that fulfilled the required health standards. He told the market committee that action would be taken against the members responsible if such a situation rose again.

The Nazim also visited the Sunday Bazaar at Committee Chowk and found substandard edible items being sold. He asked the authorities to look into the matter and ensure that standard of consumer items was maintained.
