63 submit papers in Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD, Aug 25: A total of 63 candidates filed nomination papers on Sunday for the two National Assembly and five Provincial Assembly seats of Abbottabad District to contest the October general election.

For NA-17, Amanullah Khan Jadoon of PML-QA, Sardar Abrar of People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP), Ali Zaman Abbasi and Dr Azhar Jadoon (independent candidates), Raja Waqar Ahmed of Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT), Malik Mohammad Asif of Hazara Qaumi Mahaz (HQM), Gul Khan Jadoon of PML-J, Ejaz Hussain Shah, Alhaj Habibur Rehman Abbasi of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) and

Sher Dil Khan of Millat Party submitted their nomination papers with the returing officer concerned.

For NA-18, independent candidates: Sardar Hameed Gul, Haq Nawaz Abbasi, Mohammad Hayat, Mohammad Imran and Abdul Ghaffar; Malik Mohammad Asif of HQM; Qazi Mohammad Azhar advocate of Millat Party; Aurangzeb of PAT; Syed Abdur Rahim Shah of MMA; Sardar Yaqoob of PML and Masoodur Rehman Abbasi of PML-N filed nominations.

Apirants who will contest for PF-44 are: Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani of PML-QA, Haji Muzaffar Khan Jadoon of MMA, Shamrooz Khan Jadoon and Waseem Khan Jadoon of PPP, Raja Waqar Ahmed of PAT, Ghulam Mustafa Jadoon of Millat Party and Malik Mohammad Asif of HQM.

For PF-45, three independent contestants — Sardar Ali Zaman, Ayaz Mohammad, Gohar Rehman and Sardar Haseeb advocate — filed papers. Abdul Jabbar Abbasi and Sardar Mumtaz Abbasi of PML-N, Mohammad Akram Aabbasi of MMA, Abdul Wahab Qureshi of PAT and Sahibzada Pir Azahr of PML-QA will also fight for the same seat.  

Candidates for PF-46 are: Pir Khan Tanoli of MMA, Ishaque Jadoon of Awami National Party (ANP), Ghulam Mustafa Jadoon of Millat Party, Iftikhar Ahmed of PPP, Mailk Manzoor Hussain advocate of PML-N, Azizur Rehman of PML-QA and two independent contestants — Qalandar Khan Lodhi and Mohammad Rizwan Qureshi.

Azhar Mehmood of PPP, Sardar Aurangzeb of PML-N, Nisar Safdar of PML-QA, Qazi Zaifat Mehmood, Waheed Akhter Tanoli, Shezad Ahmed Khan of PAT submitted their nominations for PF-47 while Sardar Mohammad Imran, Gul Nawaz Khan and Sardar Tariq will fight for the same seat independently.

For PF-48, Sardar Hameed Gul, Haq Nawaz Abbasi, Amjad Abbasi and Hameeda Begum will contest as the independent candidates, along with Sardar Khursheed advocate of PPP, Sardar Mohammad Idreas advocate of PML-N, Naheed Gul Abbasi of Millat Party, Haji Mohammad Iqbal of MMA, Abdul Wahab of PAT.
