Navy sail into semis

KARACHI, June 1 Pakistan Navy and Medicam Group qualified for the semi-finals of the 17th Hinopak Trophy KCCA Inter-departmental cricket tournament after winning their respective matches on Monday.

Owais Ahmed Rehmani hit a fine 68 with five boundaries as Navy beat UBL by a margin of 31 runs at the UBL Sports Complex Ground.

Medicam Group, meanwhile, registered an exciting five-run victory against Omar Associates at the TMC Ground with Ali Mudassar and Shahid Latif excelling with both bat and the ball.

Ali scored 72 with three sixes and as many fours and took two wickets for 45 with his as medium pacers, while Shahid hit four fours and two sixes in making 50. He also claimed two wickets for 35 runs.
