Naib Nazim resigns

THATTA, Aug 22: Naib Nazim, Thatta district, Mohammad Usman Malkani, has resigned from the post in order to contest the coming election of Sindh Assembly from the coastal constituency, PS-87.

Malkani told this scribe here on Thursday that he had tendered his resignation on Aug 19 and he would contest the elections under the banner of the Shirazi group.

He expressed hope that the group would sweep the elections in Thatta district as it was supported by the local masses.
