KARACHI, Aug 21: An appellate bench of the High Court of Sindh, comprising Justice Mohammed Roshan Essani and Justice Mujeebullah Siddiqui, on Wednesday deciding four jail appeals filed by convicts in heroin smuggling cases allowed remission of one year to each appellant.
Elijah Kipkoros, appellant, was convicted and sentenced by an Anti-narcotics Court to five years’ imprisonment with a fine of Rs50,000, after he was found guilty of smuggling 600 grams of heroin powder concealed in 24 capsules inside his body cavities.
