ISLAMABAD, Aug 20: The government has directed all those staffers of parliament whose services had been given to the National Reconstruction Bureau (NRB) to report back to their parent department.
According to the informed sources, the decision was taken to prepare the parliament house to accommodate the increased number of MNAs after the forthcoming general elections.
The sources said there was a growing workload on the skeleton staff of parliament.
Some of the parliament house staffers said new seating arrangements were being made in the National Assembly after an increase in the number of seats for MNAs.
Meanwhile, some of the NRB staffers, who were residing in the parliamentary lodges, also vacated the apartments on the directive of the government on Tuesday.
