LAHORE, Aug 18: The PML-QA and the PML-N have set up their parliamentary boards to select candidates for the general elections.

According to a press release, the PML-QA’s central board will comprise Mian Azhar, Shujaat Husain, Fakhr Imam, Gohar Ayub, Mir Zafarullah Jamali, Ghous Bux Mehr, Lt-Gen (retd) Majeed Malik, Syed Iftikhar Husain Gilani, Pervaiz Elahi, Salim Saifullah, Jam Muhammad Yousaf, Col (retd) Ghulam Sarwar Cheema, Dr Hameeda Khuhru, Khursheed Mahmud Kasuri and Fizza Junejo.

Begum Nilofer Bakhtiar will be ex-officio member of the board.

The Punjab parliamentary board will comprise Pervaiz Elahi, Arshad Lodhi, Raja Basharat, Humayun Akhtar, Azam Cheema, Kamil Ali Agha, Begum Mehnaz Rafi, Amjad Hameed Dasti, Akhtar Husain Rizvi, Akhtar Rasool, Saeedul Haq Siddiqui, Syed Ali Akbar Mahmood, Chaudhry Muhammad Arif, Nasir Ali Khan Baloch, Ms Nasim Lodhi, Begum Shahana Farooqi, Javed Yaqoob and Father Roffian Julius.

PML-N: Party’s central president Shahbaz Sharif has set up parliamentary board for the Punjab with Zulfikar Ali Khan Khosa as its president.

Other members of the board are: Khwaja Saad Rafiq, Sheikh Aftab Ahmad, Chaudhry Tanveer Ahmad Khan, Ghulam Dastagir Khan, Mian Muhammad Zaman, Mian Mahmood Ahmad Khan, Iqbal Khakwani, Inamullah Khan Niazi, Mian Abdul Mannan, Malik Haneef Awan, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Rana Sanaullah, Chaudhry Safdarur Rehman, Zaeem Husain Qadri, Pir Hasnat Shah, Pervaiz Malik, Tehmina Daultana, Raja Muhammad Afzal and Khwaja Muhammad Asif.

Interviews of candidates from all divisions will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
