KARACHI: Korean doctors visit CHK

KARACHI, Aug 18 : A team of Korean doctors, consisting of six professors, two registrars and two nurses, reached the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) here on Sunday and examined patients with cleft lip and palate.

The patents had come from the interior of Sindh and Balochistan for examination and treatment.

About 560 patients were registered. A provisional list of 100 patients was made and finally 30 patients were selected for surgeries to be carried out from August 19 to 24 at the CHK.

The remaining 500 patients will be treated at the plastic surgery department of the CHK. This team will also impart training to local doctors. The project is sponsored by the LG Electronics.—PPI
