KARACHI, Aug 17: Three bodies were found floating on the sea on Saturday.

The body of a doctor was found floating on the sea off Ghas Bandar beach in Keamari. The body was recovered and sent to Civil Hospital for autopsy. The drowning victim was identified at the hospital a Dr Javed Iqbal, aged 35. Edhi and police sources said that a chit was found in his clothes on which was written: “My body be taken to Fahim Medical Centre.”

Staff of Fahim Medical Centre, which is in Orangi Town, said Dr Javed Iqbal worked for the medical centre and he had been absent from his duty for the past two days without giving any prior information.

The family believed that it was suicide as Dr Javed did not have enmity with anyone. “He was a humble and polite man,” said a family member. Dr Javed’s Nikah had been solemnized four months ago, but the bride’s rukhsati (formal wedding ceremony) had not taken place.
